GHA has completed the renovation work at Herbert T Clark Congregate. The work was made possible by a State of Connecticut Department of Housing $3,013,182 grant. The renovations enhanced the resident living experience by replacing tubs with walk in showers, installing air conditioning in the hallways, replacing common area flooring, repainting the common spaces, and replacing all of the dining room furniture. Five apartments were made fully ADA accessible. The grant also allowed the property to make numerous energy efficiency improvements by replacing all the heating, cooling and water heating equipment and replacing all of the lighting with new LED fixtures. All the windows were replaced, a new roof was installed along with the replacement of the fire alarm system.
The result was a beautiful new space for our residents.
